By tram
Take tram route 5, 6, 16 or 72 and hop off at Federation Square/Flinders Street Station. From there, it’s an easy five-minute walk across the Yarra River via Princes Bridge. You’ll find the Koorie Heritage Trust inside Federation Square, on the Yarra Building’s ground level, near the Atrium.
By train
Disembark at Flinders Street Station, which sits directly opposite Federation Square. Exit towards the Swanston Street concourse, cross the road, and follow the signs to the Birrarung Building. The Koorie Heritage Trust is located beside the NGV Ian Potter Centre entrance.
By Uber / Taxi
Ask your driver to drop you at Federation Square – Russell Street Extension entrance. From there, walk towards the Atrium glass structure — the Koorie Heritage Trust entrance is just beyond the glass doors.
Parking
The closest parking is available at Federation Square Car Park, with entry via Russell Street Extension or Batman Avenue. Standard and accessible parking bays are available. For current rates and hours, visit wilsonparking.com.au
Level 1: Exhibition Galleries and shopKOORIE
All ability access is available to our ground floor (Level 1) temporary exhibition galleries and shopKOORIE.
Level 2: Project Exhibition Gallery
Access to our Level 2 project exhibition gallery is via a set of escalators (going up only) or 23 stairs with a 1.3 metre landing and a hand rail on both sides of the stairs. For visitors with mobility issues, please telephone 8662 6300 to arrange a time to visit the Level 2 project exhibition space and/or to discuss access requirements. For the launch of exhibitions on Level 2, lift access will be available.
Level 3: Meeting Rooms, Permanent Collections, and Moogji Lounge
Another set of escalators (going up only) or 23 stairs will take you from Level 2 to Level 3 where visitors can explore exhibitions featuring our permanent collections and use our Moogji Lounge. Level 3 is also where our venue hire rooms are located. Lift access is available to Level 3 through shopKOORIE. Please speak to one of our friendly staff behind the shop counter for assistance finding and using the lift. To exit the building from Level 3, there are stairs to the ground floor (Level 1) or, alternatively, take the lift to the ground floor.
Toilets
Wheelchair accessible bathrooms are available on Levels 1 and 3. For any access queries, please telephone 8662 6300.

You are welcome to use your camera to film or take photographs for personal use throughout the KHT. If you wish to share on social media, please tag us in your post and also credit the artist of any artworks you may reproduce, to respect and protect their moral rights.
Non-Personal Use
Filming and photography for commercial or non-personal purposes are prohibited due to cultural, moral, and copyright reasons.
Use of Flash
Flash photography is not allowed, as continued exposure to flash can cause irreversible light damage to artworks.
If you wish to film or take photographs of artworks for purposes other than for personal use, please contact us to discuss.
